IOAN DELICE (Brooklyn, NY) – "A Thousand Fragments" (prod. LEWIS PARKER) /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com
Brooklyn, New York native Ioan (pronounced Yo-an) Delice is an 19 year old rapper/producer.
Born January 13, 1994, Ioan Delice is of French/Haitian descent and is inspired by an eclectic range of artists – from Hip Hop legend Big L, to France’s most popular and enduring singer Charles Aznavour. Having grown up in Hip Hop’s capital of the world at a time when the genre reached considerable heights…, and when the Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights wasn’t yet gentrified, is definitely an integral part of Ioan’s inspiration.
An ambassador to his generation, Ioan also pays homage to the cartoons that formed his childhood and taps the creative influence of reputable composer Jim Lang and Japanese Hip Hop producer Nujabes – who have written scores for Hey! Arnold and Samurai Champloo respectively.
Since the tender age of 13 Ioan has immersed himself in his passion, and is truly an Artist. A creative by definition, he explores all aspects of visual artistry be it through videography, photography, or drawing, and does not discriminate music genres, consistently researching and exploring music in order to expand and perfect his craft.
– On 14/4/2013 Ioan Delice released his second mixtape entitled “Square Doughnuts” available for free streaming and DL @ ioandelice.bandcamp.com & soundcloud
