Jeff Skigh is one of the founding members of independent record label Take Off Entertainment; His style of music uses influences coupled with his own flavor/style. Skigh was raised in a middle-class household in Flint, Michigan, and began singing in the second grade, becoming involved in music at an early age. Skigh attended Hamady High School school where he was actively involved in sports and music. Skigh later discovered his talent for rapping and started to pursue a career in his new-found art. After founding Take Off Entertainment with fellow artist D – Walk , Skigh dropped his first mixtape entitled “Weed ‘n’ Shit” in 2011. He is now in the works on his new project called “High X” which is slated to be released on April 20th, 2014. Skigh’s background and style, deviates from the then-dominant “gangster” persona in hip hop, and he tries to alter the genre and continue with his alternative form of hip hop. Skigh has recently delved into videography along with producing and Audio Engineering.April 20th, 2014.
