JT ATL – “You Can”
I was born in Georgia and have always lived in Georgia. ATL is my city and my city is what I do it for.
I didn’t start rapping until after I was out of High School. I stayed in long enough to graduate, but any longer and I would have lost it. School was never something I intended on following up with after. Pretty much it’s just been work, work, work after that and I always felt the need to have something I could do as a hobby to get me through the days and forget about all the bullshit.
I always used to just bust out and freestyle with my friends to songs on the radio, and it wasn’t until someone told me I could actually be a rapper when I decided to buy a crappy microphone off of amazon and give it a shot. Since then I have upgraded my gear a bit and have been putting in the work for Mixtapes. Right from the first take of freestyling I layed down, to the songs I have done today, I knew I had something there and it gave me a feeling I hadn’t
had before. I am currently and always have been my own engineer in this venture.
It’s been tough and at times it can change your thoughts on things when you are still learning and figuring things out. However, my state of mind keeps me going, and my sense of competitiveness pushes me to always try and outdo myself. My rapper inspirations top in order from last to first are, 5.Big Boi, 4. Andre 3000, 3. Jay Z, 2. Eminem, and 1st but definitely not last Weezy.
