M.I.S.T.R.O (Fort Worth, TX)- Can’t Tell You Nothin’
M.I.S.T.R.O (Music Interprets Situations Through Real Observations) 21 year old Rapper/Singer/Songwriter from Austin, TX currently residing in Fort Worth, TX. Born in Beeville, TX with a bloodline that runs through Fort Lauderdale, FL & Lake Charles, LA. Growing up as an only child his 1st love was basketball & naturally aspired to become a professional basketball player, he always had a major connection with music. With influences ranging from 2pac, UGK, & OutKast in the Hip-Hop community to Bob Marley, Michael Jackson & others he gradually grew from writing poems & seriously began to construct verses & concept ideas for songs & eventually albums/mixtapes.
His 1st release “A Dollar & Dream” hit the internet in the spring of 2011. It contained a few original songs but the majority of the project consisted of remixes & features he’s done since proactively recording in Winter of 2010. After months of performing at plenty of local clubs in the DFW area he geared up for his 2nd release entitled “8:30”. The title referred to the number of songs & the total length of the CD as well as act as the bridge in the theme of the awaking process “A Dollar & A Dream” to the eventual “Rise & Shine”.
It was completely composed of material recorded over other mainstream artists’ instrumentals excluding the closing track “Callin’ Shots” the lead single from “Rise & Shine”. The project contained instrumentals of hit songs from Machine Gun Kelly, Meek Mill, Beyoncé, Zapp & Roger Troutman, Snoop Dogg, Big K.R.I.T, Dr.Dre, Jay-Z, & Pimp C. “8:30” although released as individual tracks to build excitement for “Rise & Shine” was compacted into an entire project in early 2012. The sporadic recording process for “Rise & Shine” began in late 2011 but reached a consistent basis in mid 2012 & ended in early 2014. M.I.S.T.R.O released 2nd single “MayDay” on January 1st, 2013 while spending the rest of the year to perfect his 1st Official release “Rise & Shine”.
January 2014 M.I.S.T.R.O released 3rd single “Rearview” with the announcement that “Rise & Shine” would be available in February 2014. “Rise & Shine” released via his Soundcloud page on February 9th, 2014.
