Mae Scott – “Stay On”
Mae Scott is a poetically dramatic, and theatrical MC and musical virtuosa, skilled in many styles and genres of music. The Pittsburgh, PA based artist and songwriter began in the industry at the tender age of 8 as a dancer, and choreographer for hip hop talent shows, step shows, and local parades all the way to High School. She got her start shortly after doing a stint in the military as a pre-Olympic Track Competitor in Training for the U.S. Army before serving in the Iraq War as a bodyguard, while deployed at Ft. Hood she was a waitress as a second job and hosted nightly MC Rap Battles at a popular local nightclub for extra cash,(City Lights) but later in 06″ after joining a Gospel Hip Hop group that later broke up, it gave her the tools to pave her own way as an artist. Her many different styles led to the creation of her infamously known pen name Mae Majesty. Mae Majesty/Mae Scott has been working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry for quite some time, as an actress, model, Gallery Model, Hand Model for Mary Kay,rapper/singer-producer, singer-songwriter, screen/playwright, Atlanta Falcon’s Cheerleader, and is now ready to take her skill to the next level. In 2010 She started her own label, Academy Rhyme Time,while in college, by turning her Hip Hop club into a full fledged music label. In Spring of 2012, shortly before her father was murdered, she was briefly signed to KNOCKOUT Ent./InGrooves/Universal Records and later Equilibrium Records. She has also collaborated and been apart of many local projects as a Songwriter and is currently working on her first major Hip Hop album.
