P.O.L.O. (Miami Beach, FL) – Losing Is Not An Option

Since a child JohnPaul( PoLo) has been musically inclined. First time his mother put on a pair of headphones on his head, and he heard what music was , it was love at first melody.The passion for music only grew the more he explored different genres, but the one that captured his heart was Hip-Hop. From the “boom-bap” to the intricate wordplay that portrayed vivid images with such clarity only using words, it drew him in, and he started writing his own lyrics at the age of 11, being timid at times he kept to himself, studying the culture, the different styles that existed, and messages that were being spread. He finally found his identity, and sound at the age of 18, and finally broke out of his shell, and started taking the craft, and business side of music more seriously in pursuit of making it in the industry one day, but his activities outside of his passion would take PoLo on a tailspin of a ride for a couple of years to the point where he had to leave his hometown of Woodside Queens New York down south to Miami for a fresh start. As he believes, everything happens for a reason. Upon arrival there were a few people in the building he lived in that were all involved in music,from a couple of DJ’s, artists, and one who owned a studio. A couple of weeks of living in Miami he was invited to the studio where such artist ranging from Pitbull, Bun B, Paul Wall have recorded just to name a couple. having never been in the booth or recorded one a track, PoLo was invited to jump on a local Miami artist’s song, and after just one take of recording for PoLo was when everyone in that studio gave him the validation he was needing once he heard as he stepped out of the booth ” This dude can flow” . for a couple of years he teamed up with a local artist and they both put out 3 Mixtapes,but unfortunately things took a turn for the worst when his partner took loyalty for granted, and PoLo cut ties to pursue his dream on his own. taking his time to choose beats wisely and make sure his subject matter is up to par with those that have made a mark in the hiphop culture he put out his first Solo mixtape entitled ” The HipHop Fixtape” that got some great reviews for originality and substance as well as lyrical content and sound. He is currently finishing up his Sophomore project (title to be announced)  already having a promo track and video out entitled ” Losing is not an option” , and by the way he keeps making moves, the world will soon know as well why losing for PoLo has never and will never be an option until his name is part of Hip-Hop’s history.
