Michael Adame, better known as Phantom Thrett, was born in Burbank, CA in the fall of 1992. Raised in a musical home, Thrett started singing and writing at the early age of 9. it wasn’t until he heard The Roots 2002 album “Phrenology” that he started to write raps. “i went back from there and studied countless hip hop albums from Redman’s Muddy Waters, 36 Chambers, Low End Theory, Black on Both Sides, Capital Punishment.. i began to grow an immense amount of respect for the culture and the art of rhyme by hearing and living with these albums. Phantom Thrett was born” After moving to Pomona, CA around this same time with his family, Phantom had accumulated notebooks filled with raps. “One day i showed my mom what i had been doing, she shed a tear, at the time i had no idea why but she told me that she believed in me and that i had her support 100%, i think that same week she bought me a Roland MV-8000 so i could record myself, produce my own beats and all that shit, i was 11 years old. I still use the same machine to this day” Phantom Thrett signed with Inland Empire based label Black Cloud Music in 2012 and the rest as they say, is history.
And we are a group of 5 producers from different parts of norway, that came together in the start of 2013 to start the Beatmaking collective Loop.holes, and we are working on lot of different albums with cats like epidemic, the connections, illconscious, supnater,waju,phantom thrett as well as a lot of production for cats like rozewood, melanin 9, melodiq, akrobatik, prozack turner,akbar and many more..as well as a 2’nd album with phantom thrett coming in early 2014.
