PHILASIFER started his Hip-Hop career in the California Bay Area Rapping and Beatboxing with a group called Uncontrolled Substance in the late 90’s, and also releasing two solo mix-tapes “My Secret Identity” (1999) and “The Impermeable” (2000). In 2001 he released the ep “Think Different” which led to a small Broadband Talent.net feature in the Dec 8th 2001 issue of Billboard magazine. From 2002 to 2004 PHILASIFER appeared on various mix tapes and albums including Rebellious “Ride With Me” Nos Leratz’s “Don’t Drink The Kool Aide” and recorded the unreleased albums “Culture Advance” (2002) and “Higher Learning” (2004) with Rebellious Music & PGFX. Starting his own indie production company in 2004 Perfected Dynamics Productions, PHILASIFER self-produced and recorded his next solo ep Demo Released in Dec of 2004.
PHILASIFER received Dramatic Arts/Acting training at MCTC (Mesa College Theater Company) from 2006 to 2008. During this time he met and recorded with San Diego MC’s Opoetik, Acethetic , Touch Of Cas , and Jahsun Olufemi Lasana , forming the collective FOF ( Friend Of A Friend) recording tracks for what would eventually become the “Lessons Learned Mix-Tape” (2009) . PHILASIFER would follow this, signing his first record contract with Sonic Wave International Records / Sony BMG and releasing “Emceeing Is Believing” (2007). In 2008, PHILASIFER began recording what would be known as the “Grown Man Mix-tape” which would not be released until January of 2011. In 2009, PHILASIFER met MC Truth and together they created the Hip-Hop duo known as Real Talk, Releasing the album “What They Don’t Want You To Hear” on March 9th, 2010. PHILASIFER then began collaborating and producing music for Soul artist Amber Ojeda producing the track “Broken Is Broken”.
PHILASIFER recorded a 1 song single entitled Flip It Around in February of 2011 in order to raise proceeds for the medical bills of DJ Kool Herc. In March of 2011, PHILASIFER signed a 3 year contract with JMD Records / INGROOVES / Universal Music Group and released a 12 track album entitled PHILASIFER: A Proper Introduction (2011). In 2013 Philasifer joined Ellisbeetle Entertainment.
