18 year-old Rosewood Swing from Jackson, MS utilizes overwhelming wordplay and delivery in his lyrics. Representing $ip $ircle, Swing is an aspiring Video Director, Producer, and Clothing Designer aside from rapping. His influences range from Kanye West, Nas, MC Eiht, MF Doom, and Curren$y down to earlier R&B artists such as Jodeci (most notably Devante Swing). What sets his music aside from most artists of his age is his exemption of profanity while still maintaining a hard-nosed flow. The subject matter of his tracks are also unique because they divert away from typical street violence and drugs heard in common music of his generation. His goal is to bring about a new style that combines elements of the early 90s and to become an icon for upcoming artists of his class. He has previously released his debut mixtape Vegas16 which has garnered him plenty of local support in Mississippi. In due time, Swing is sure to be an artist to watch amongst the music industry.
