EAST (New York) – Letter from Pac (Prod. by AUBREY JAMAAL) /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com
BORN AND RAISED IN THE “BIG APPLE” NEW YORK CITY, EAST FREEMAN WAS EXPOSED TO ALL GENRES OF MUSIC. WAS FIRST INTRODUCED TO A RAP GROUP IN HIS YOUNGER YEARS WHO WENT BY THE NAME OF “WU TANG CLAN” BY HIS OLDER BROTHER, WHILE PAYING A VISIT TO HIM IN STATEN ISLAND N.Y. SEEING THE TRAILS AND CONTRIBUTION IT TOOK TO MAKE IT IN THE “GAME” HE DIDNT AT FIRST PAY MIND TO IT UNTIL HIS EARLY YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL.
BEING RAISED BY ONE PARENT (FATHER) HIS FAMILY WAS BASED ON “ALL WORK NO PLAY”. WITH THIS UNBROKEN RULE, HE WAS BOUGHT TO FEAR UPON PRACTICING AND DEVELOPING HIS TALENT OF WORDS WITH HIS LOVE FOR HIP-HOP.
AFTER THE PASSING OF HIS OLDER BROTHER “EAST” FREEMAN DECIDED TO KEEP THIS NAME THAT WAS PASSED ON TO HIM BY HIS BROTHER, WITH A STRONG MEANING HE WOULD UPHOLD (EVIDENCE ALWAYS STANDS TALL). HE BEGAN PRACTICING AND OPENING HIS EARS TO THE MUSIC WORLD. AFTER GRADUATING COLLEGE WITH A DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, HE ENTERED THE REAL WORLD UNDERSTANDING THAT NOTHING IS GIVEN TO YOU, YOU MUST EARN IT ALL. WITH FAMILY AND FEW REAL FRIENDS HE TRAVELED AND STARTED TO BEGIN HIS LIFE AS A HIP-HOP ARTIST. REMEMBERING THE WORLDS OF HIS BROTHER, “BE YOURSELF, ONLY THING THAT KEEPS US UNIQUE”. HIS LIFE IS THE ROOT TO HIS SONGS AND WORDS, STATING “ONE SHOULD ONLY SPEAK ON WHAT HE EXPERIENCES, NOT WHAT HE WISHES”
THIS IS THE BEGINNING FOR HIM…AND NOT THE END BECAUSE ITS “ALL WORK, NO PLAY”.
