The Buttress (Chicago, IL) – Pilgrims by the Millions

Straight outta New Jersey & currently residing in Chicago, the Buttress (AKA The Flyest Buttress) is a filmmaker turned rapper as of October 31, 2012. Although she enjoys butt humor, the name is a reference to the architectural structure. Citing RZA as her biggest influence, the Buttress describes the content of her music as “deep & dark”, rapping about such topics as the Old Testament, phenomenology, and filicide, to name a few.  Along with her crew Ghost Gang, she is currently producing a lineup of music videos to be dropped in succession over the course of 2013, of which “Pilgrims by the Millions” is the first.
