Third Eye is an American rap/hip hop duo composed of fraternal twins, Divine King and Love Truth. The duo hails from Milwaukee, WI known to natives as “the IllMil”, “Milltown” or “Brew City.” Their parents instilled values in them such as responsibility, honor, respect, trust, integrity, independence & hard work, despite coming from a working class family. Divine pays homage to his mother on songs like “All Is Good” with lines like “the soul of a beautiful black woman raised me, forever I’m in debt to ya, nothin’ but respect fo ya.”
As a child, Love had innate artistic abilities. She was especially gifted when it came to writing. As a way to vent, she would express herself creatively through poetry. When she was ten years old she wrote her first song. Possessing such talent made her transition to an emcee seamless. Divine obtained his first musical experiences while in high school, recording songs with his peers after school at a local studio.
The brother and sister duo both attended college. They attended Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCU). Love attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD and Divine attended Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Despite entering the workforce and starting businesses after college, the two never lost their love and passion for hip hop music.
Their musical influences include artists such as Michael Jackson, Nas, and OutKast, to name a few.“I love hip hop cause it’s raw. It’s unfiltered and there are no rules. I just love & respect the culture. It’s the soundtrack to life,” says Love. With their combined experiences and passion for the music, forming Third Eye was a natural progression.

Through their music they provide their own unique perspective on life and how it impacts them directly and indirectly. “It’s reality based music. We dealing with our reality and the world as we see it,” states Divine.
