Although he is a new independent artist, music played a major part of his upbringing. Born in Richmond, Va., Travis J began rapping at 8 years old and started producing in the 9th grade. His passion for music kept him away from the street life. In 2008, he joined the army and traveled the world, gaining a broad perspective to capture in his song lyrics. Fresh out the army, Travis J and his crew (KnUE Era) are now going to Full Sail University to gain the tools to take it to the next level. The Knue Era Movement includes a young and ambitious group of individuals who are committed to success. Travie J’s project is only the beginning. From talent shows in the middle of Afghanistan, to performing at SXSW, he works to perfect his craft daily. There is much more to come from this long standing talent
