Elzhi Revists Classic Film “Juice” On New Video “Bishop”

Detroit rap savant Elzhi recently unleashed the new album Heavy Vibrato, entirely produced by acclaimed California beatsmith Oh No.  Now, the former Slum Village member is back with a new music video for the album’s latest single “Bishop“.  Showcasing Elzhi‘s storytelling genius, the track is a creative reinvention of the classic 1992 film Juice told from the perspective of 2pac‘s iconic character Bishop rather than protagonist Q (portrayed by Omar Epps).  With Oh No supplying an unpredicatable jazz-tinged soundtrack, the video captures Bishop’s volatile energy, remixing Juice footage to follow Elzhi‘s revised narrative while paying tribute to a film that remains deeply embedded in hip-hop culture.  Heavy Vibrato is now available worldwide at digital outlets, and was also recently released in stores on CD and vinyl.  The collection features appearances by Guilty SimpsonBlu, and more.
