MYCHL – “Color Me Bad” (Video)

Chicago native, MYCHL is ready to introduce himself to the world as a solo musician. He originally gained attention in 2011 for his work as one half of The 2 of Diamonds hip-hop duo. Their first mixtape, Jackin For Fans(2011) was followed up by the release of 30 for 30(2011) which was a compilation made up of 30 songs that were released in 30 days. The duo became a bit quiet after a few sporadic releases in both 2012 and 2013. A leaked song, “Make A Hit” which features Chance The Rapper had listeners ready to hear more from the duo but the two had other plans.

It was later in 2013 when MYCHL began writing more music as an individual artist, while trying to develop his own sound. After spending time crafting his sound, MYCHL is now prepared to show the world exactly what he is capable of.

Color Me Bad serves as the first introduction to MYCHL. The song focuses on the delicate subjects of police shootings and local gun violence. It also sets the tone for his debut album, also entitled Color Me Bad, due for release in late 2018.
