This cat is really trying to come up quick! In just the past 2 months alone he’s snatched up a couple of beats from Pro Era producer Chuck strangers who has produced most of the catalog for Joey Badass. As well as production from fellow chicagoan Thelonius Martin.
In the next week or so he will also be dropping a song “Friday Afternoon” that is featuring another new artist from Chicago Mick Jenkins.
He also has a video with Visual Mecca dropping next week a crew that has done videos for some other up & coming artists such as Alex Wiley, Kembe X, Martin Sky, and a few others.
In this video D.Graves is trying to give his listeners a sense that real hip hop is not dead and that chicago is much broader than the average person knows. Theres not just drill music & killing going on is the message basically..
ps he also had a lot to do with editing the video. he likes to be involved in all of his creating processes.
