Doopy Rugz & FosDaBo$$ Are a Dynamic Duo In New Collaborative EP “Player$ Pack, Vol. 1”
2023 has been a great year for Doopy Rugz since dropping his “The Talent Is True” album and launching hisi official website. Today we are highlighting the collaborative EP “Player$ Pack, Vol. 1” between Doopy Rugz and FosDaBo$$. It’s a modern day 6-track project by the ‘Ohio Player$’.
The duo based out of Los Angeles are from Akron, Ohio. The two bring their talents together to show off their diverse hip hop sound blending midwest, east coast, down south and West Coast grooves. With undeniable hooks, incredible verses and immaculate beats, they give fans six songs showing potentially what’s coming next, paving the way for more Volumes to come.
From “Front Seat” produced by Jaidrius to “Hollywood” produced by Abel Beats you can definitely hear the West Coast inspiration Doopy and Fos bring out on their flows. In “Trippin'”, Doopy drops something for real Hip Hop heads connecting with the legend 9th Wonder, the highlight collab of the project in our opinion. The variety of producers on this project proves that the two rappers wanted to make sure every track has it’s own distinctive sound.
The trap banger “Money on My Mind” produced by Bob Bangers ends the project properly with Doopy Rugz and FosDaBo$$ stamping their mark on the fact that they can literally rap over any style beat. Even though this is a short EP, we don’t think this will be the last time we hear these two together as this is just a Vol. 1 of probably many volumes to come. We score this project well earned 8/10.
