Slum Village – “The Lost Scrolls, Vol. 2” Album

A treat for Dilla fans worldwide, Slum Village opens the treasure box with, “The Lost Scrolls Vol. 2“.  It’s Slum Village’s 20th Anniversary from their 1998 completion date of the phenomenal classic recording “Fantastic Vol. 2” which featured Busta Rhymes, Pete Rock, D’Angelo, Kurupt, Q-Tip and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

In honor of this, SV is opening its’ vaults to reveal additional relics and lost tracks from the original trio T3, “Baatin”, and Jay Dee. The group started with releasing the first lost gem, “Hold Tight” feat, Q-Tip. Now fans can get the entire project produced by Jay Dee aka J Dilla.

This album showcases 11 lost demos and remixes straight from the basement with dates ranging between 1996-1999.  These songs have been held tightly until now. Today, the fans get to here unheard versions of songs and rare unreleases, 20 years later.
