Tek Bully – “No Muzzle” (EP Review)
Since covering his double video,“Teknical Foul / The Waverly”, we’ve been waiting for the right time to review Tek Bully‘s new 5-track EP, “No Muzzle”. This emcee represents Orlando, FL & Queens, NY, and you clan clearly listen to the influences in him music from both places. What better time to cover this, it’s Halloween weekend!
“It’s Me”, is the perfect introduction track for Tek Bully as he lets the listener know his exact position in Hip Hop. He’s not into talking about his moves, he’s more into putting in the actual work when in comes to establishing himself as a true emcee in this industry. “No Stop Signs”, he lets you inside is personal life as he talks about not only being a better artist than the rest, but becoming a better man through out is life since being born in 1986.
Tek turns the gears up with real bars over a hard hitting beat with, “Teknical Foul”. It’s not gonna be a surprise if underground heads consider this song a cult classic. This song proves that he can’t be compared to anybody, if you do, then its a foul. “The Waverly” is a true boom bap Miami style track. What’s a Miami style song in our or book? Something smooth you can bump with your windows down in you ride.
For his outro, he slows down the gears with his self titled track, “No Muzzle”. Tek shows his East Coast versatility on this one with his rhymes and wordplay. Overall, even though this is a short 5-track EP, the quality is there. Good to see emcees like this focus on great music rather then just putting anything out there. Quality overshadows quantity all day with “No Muzzle”. We rate this project a 7/10, make sure to stream the full project below.
