LordQuest breaks down production on ScHoolboy Q’s “Blind Threats” ft. Raekwon

Producer LordQuest  recently sat down with fellow Toronto producer, Junia-T, to discuss his work on ScHoolboy Q’s “Blind Threats”, and how it all came together. Sampling Gary Burton’s “Las Vegas Tango”, the track is ScHoolboy’s favorite off of Oxymoron.

“Even when I first started working with him, I thought he only did that hard gangsta stuff, but it was bigger than that,” said LordQuest. “His music has a lot of depth and texture, but a lot of people don’t see it as that. He has feelings and emotions, he has problems, and he has issues just like everyone else.” The placement was not LordQuest’s first time working with ScHoolboy Q; he initially collaborated with Q on “Figg Get Da Money” off the Setbacks mixtape back in 2011. It only made sense for the two of them to get back at it for Oxymoron.
