Miami’s Renda Writer Becomes A Favorite In Hip Hop Building A Buzz For “Hip Hop Appreciation Week”

He describes himself as a “Handwritten Artist” and has over 1,000 collectors that own his unique style of art, which emphasizes words as a visual medium. His name is Renda Writer, and he is based in Miami but travels extensively and is building a solid fan base in major markets like New York and Los Angeles.

Renda Writer credits his childhood of growing up “addicted to Hip-Hop” for creating inside of him his earliest appreciation for words, which he has now turned into a career, traveling the world as a professional artist, creating “Handwritten Art” on canvases and large scale “Handwritten Murals” on walls in 8 countries so far.

The artist has recently showed up in a major way on the radar of the Hip-Hop community via of the success of his “Handwritten Art Tribute to Hip Hop”, an original canvas piece featuring an extensive list of names of Hip- Hop artists, hand-written, in no particular order, representing an overview of all subgenres of Hip-Hop.

Renda Writer has now created a poster print of the original “Handwritten Art Tribute to Hip-Hop” and has been selling them via his popular Instagram page (Verified, Over 22K Followers). In addition to selling them, he also has a policy that says, “If your name is on it… or the name of your group, you get a poster for free. I just ask for a picture of you holding it, in return.”

Based on this idea, he has gotten the attention of several Hip Hop veterans and has gotten pictures of the following Hip Hop artists with his work: Wyclef Jean (of The Fugees), Keith Murray, Freddie Foxxx (aka Bumpy Knuckles), Hakim Green (of Channel Live), Myka 9 & Self Jupiter (of Freestyle Fellowship), Chino XL, and Jarobi (of A Tribe Called Quest). He has also recently gifted posters to the following Hip Hop artists, and is currently awaiting pictures from them: Immortal Technique, Mad Lion, Nice & Smooth, Positive K, Canibus, K Solo, Rakaa (of Dilated Peoples), and KRS-One.

Following this success and recognition, Renda will now create a 2nd edition of the piece, which will be bigger,
and will include more names, to be released on the first day of “Hip Hop Appreciation Week 2019” (May 14th – May 20th). For those interested in more info on its release, contact Renda directly, or sign up for his email newsletter at RendaWriter.com.
