Album Review: “Hero Ball” by Ahmen (New York)
Hero Ball, which is Ahmen’s response to the defining moment that is the 4th quarter. It’s standing tall when others shrink; looking to the future when it’s easier to regret; and taking chances instead of following the status quo. We here at UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com heard this project front to back and we agree, this project is an extension of his thoughts, road to success in this over populated music industry.
Production wise, its a mixture of beats that you can only throw on a Ahmen project. His lyrical delivery on every beat of the album is on point, and with his conscious, non-commercial Hip Hop lyrics, his style really compliment the variety of beats “Hero Ball” has.
Track to highlight: “And One”, “Samuel L Jackson”, & “When I Was Up”. If you are a 100% Hip Hop head, check out the album, and tune into Ahmen’s future projects. Shout to out the East Coast for always keeping the culture of indie Hip Hop alive.
