The more indulged by the minute, you quickly realize that Crown’s content is a natural release that will be returned to over, and over, and over again. Perfect for any occasion, the suggested tracks from ‘Drunk’ includes “Ace of Spades”, “Virginia Black”, and “Crown Royal”.
Johnny Crown constructs a concept enjoyable by everyone. Well-placed titles, mixed substance, and overflowing metaphor resembling a drink of choice. Refreshing approach, easy to identify with word association, and colorful youth-ism. Crown’s concept is smooth, well-selected, and like alcohol, it’s premium choice.
Socially inviting at best.’Drunk’ is a fun album, carefree, and conceptually appealing. Johnny Crown structures a charismatic, approachable, and intriguing album for both old and new found fans of the Los Angeles act. The album revolves around just simply having a good time, something that is much-needed for Hip-Hop. Impressed to enjoy the album at face value and eager to hear more from Johnny Crown in the future.
