Mr. Me – “Law’D Get Me” (Single Review)

Florida it the spot right now for up-and-coming talent right now to be discovered. With the industry’s top executes looking at the Sunshine State for their next big thing in Hip-Hop to add to the roster need to look no further than Palm Beach County’s own Mr. Me. Fresh out of Boca Raton, Mr. Me is leading a charge of the next crop of hot talent with his new single, “Law’D Get Me”.

Mr. Me’s new single is a young, fly, and flash three-minute duration. On the single, the Florida talent grabs his crew to live the fast life and the women all come along for the ride. A fun-filled track that shows Mr. Me in his natural surroundings as he introduces himself to the newfound nationwide audience and all the while representing where he comes from.

While production on the track is unknown, it carries a bouncy bass driven sound that is very familiar in the Dirty South. Lyrically, Mr. Me is high volume with creative lingo and consistent punchlines. Channeling a trendsetting vibe that fans will enjoy and living the life of money, sex, and drugs throughout the track, Me sticks to the script and gives the fans what they want to sing-a-long too. Smart play; however, nothing authentic or distinctive from the rest of the pack.

Mr. Me and “Law’D Get Me” is charismatic. Sticking to textbook traditional Dirty South Hip-Hop, Me’s new single, while short-lived, filled with a catchy attitude that will establish foundation for the recording artist’s popularity as he continues to release new music. It’s catchy, but not a hit, and an exceptional introduction for the rising star on a nationwide scale. The track is a microwavable digest at best, quick, plentiful, but left instantly craving for more. Staying straight in the fast lane that the Florida sound is on right now, Mr. Me has the qualities to become the next breakout star if he continues to provide a familiar style and sound like his new single contains.
