Wyze – “WyzeS#!T” Vol. 2 EP (Album Review)
Wyze Minnesota’s best kept secret Emcee drops a collection of masterful tracks on his latest EP titled “WyzeS#!T“. I was impressed right off the back the feel sets this project apart from most as “Wyzeshit” produced by Titan Introduces the tape off, I can feel the hunger in the core of his voice. The hook was especially dope I loved the precision of the record keeping me intuned the whole time. “Move Around” produced by JCaspersen is summer banger I can hear radio potential all the way , its one of those hitters that does just that make the body move.
Wyze Keeps the tape balanced thus far as the next track “Dealin” is a calm mellow track with meaningful lyrics. Wyze Touch on the important issues in this track & the ways he deals with the negative aspects of life by staying true to his self-looking for the best way to adapt. It was a pleasure the whole song thru very open & vulnerable so the listener can be captured by the vibes.
“Stop Me” Produced by Dreamlife gives me a classic feel, the production is Irree I had to play it a couple times just for music sake. Wyze can make a major impact in Hip-Hop given the right situation I look forward to new music from the Emcee. The reason I like “Mn State Of Mind” produced by Blasian beats is because is a homage to Nas but “Wyze” did it creatively with a different beat and style period that’s something emcees lose sight of these days being original as possible.
Raw and the lyrics are impactful as the concept it all matches up. “Love My Hood” was that anthem for his neighborhood the trap production still had an ambient feel attached to it as the song keeps a melodic approach to it. Wyze lyrical ability is versatile from speed rap to conversation multi-syllable rap. This Ep was well rounded I can see myself listening even on more occasions.
