Context and Jimmy Flipshyt are pleased to announce the release of their debut collaboration EP called ‘The Shadows’. The EP weighs in at 7 tracks in total including the song ‘Big Dog’ that peaked at number 12 on the Australian Triple J Unearthed Hip Hop charts. Context is a Canberra based rapper whose previous releases include ‘The Dusty Track Mixtape’ and ‘The Monkey Bars EP’, his high energy live shows and his strong song writing skills make him a stand out in the growing Canberra hip hop scene. He has supported major artists such as; Rahzel, Dialectrix and Evil Eddie on the back of his 2012 release and has many more shows booked for 2013.
Jimmy Flipshyt is a Cairns based producer whose previous releases include ‘The Jimmy Flipshyt Beat Tape’ along with a series of remixes released through Soundcloud. Jimmy displays a strong dedication to traditional hip hop methods and produces beats that are reminiscent of 90’s style classics.
