OMERTA (New York) – Pot Of Gold /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com
William G. Lepre Jr. (Omerta) was born May 12th, 1989 in Kingston, NY and raised in Woodstock, NY. Most of his life raised by his mother who was originally from the Bronx, Omerta spent mainly all his summers at his grandmother’s in the Bronx which gave him perspective on two different worlds. Throughout his life he always represented and became absorbed by the hip hop culture. Ever since he was young he was always performing in front of people, recording, or rhyming to the mirror. Always representing and staying true to his beliefs and family roots. Omerta otherwise known as “the Code of Silence” became a way of living for William.
Currently he is working on releasing an album with a different flavor but with an old school attitude. The album “Accidentally on Purpose” is set to drop in 2013. This album is going to be Omerta’s first album. He previously worked on many mixtape recordings where he came across the style of music that suited his mentality while constantly networking and building a crew. Staying involved with other projects as recording videos for the track “Booth Tonight” which is off the Omerta Muzik Vol. 1 mixtape on datpiff.com. Another video “Let’s Get High” was released shortly after “Booth Tonight” to promote the Omerta, Shogun and DJ Majic Juan EP, which also will be dropping soon .In the growing movement to expanding his talent and expanding his name, Omerta has made a forth effort to collaborate with artists of different styles and genres of music like reggae, rock, jazz, and r&b. The whole brains of the way things sound, look, and project; he has total artistic control of his image with a belief to create a movement of music. The movement of “Real Life Muzik” is an eagerness to bring more heart back into what used to be hip hop.
The “Real Life Muzik” movement is a goal to bring reality back into rap and hip hop. The reality is we are in a recession and people can’t relate to all the artists talking about expensive cars, jewelry, clothes, and homes. His plan is to talk about more than materialistic objects; it’s to give people a real understanding what’s going on in this world.
