SLEEP (Cincinnati, OH) – Jeremy /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com
“Jeremy” is the second video off of Sleep’s debut album, “Lockland 95.” The song is about Sleep’s life growing up in the impoverished neighborhood of Lockland, OH as he watched the much mroe well-off area of Wyoming across the train tracks. The video tells the story of a fictional version of himself dying in the back of the car after a vengeful store robbery in Wyoming goes wrong as he reflects on his life and how his choices lead him into the position that he is in.
Directed by Miles Joyner, “Jeremy” is a part of the “Lockland” web series, a re-imagining of the album in the video format. The first in the series was “Duke” which was about gang violence and how the consequences of the lifestyle affects a young boy.
