Born and raised in Miami, FL, G-EPIC took to rap at an early age, writing his first rhyme when he was only 8. He was beat boxing in middle school and formed a rap group called YBR (Young but Ruthless). But music was never considered a career until after high school. By then, heavily influenced by the “greats”, Biggie and Tupac, and artists like JayZ and Outcast, G-EPIC was captivated by hip hop. He started taking rap more serious after building a home studio, and with the encouragement of his family, in 2010 he left his 2nd year of college and flew to NYC to pursue music full time. Once in NYC, G-EPIC found his perfect fit in the studio, hooking up with the talented producer E-Grillz. After many long nights in the studio crafting a unique sound, “Grey Skies & Sunny Days” was born. G-Epic states “This mix-tape touches on all my realities”, adding, “like most people I know, we’ve all experienced the grey side and the sunny side of life”. This mix-tape contains club bangers like “So Incredible”, and “That other Sh*t”, as well as songs for the ladies like “Amnesia” and “No Matter What”. For those who love lyrical MC’s, G-EPIC spits fire on the songs “Dawn” and “1 Day”. This is definitely a CD to listen to from start to finish to get a feel for what G-EPIC is bringing to the game.
