PROPHIT (Long Island, NY) – "RIC FLAIR" ft. MURDA MOOK (prod by REMO THE HITMAKER) /// UndergroundHipHopBLOG.com

Craig Bocchi, most known to the world of rap music as Prophit (pronounced Profit) was born in East Rockaway, Long Island and raised in Baldwin, Long Island. At the age of fifteen, Prophit started free styling. Debuting his lyrical skills at the age of twenty-two, this twenty-five year old, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of battle rapping. “I was always listening to music, rhyming in my head, and watching others. Finding an interest in rhyming, I taught myself”. Displaying his lyrical tactics, Prophit has battled the best of them via Grind Time and SMACK URL. “Not too many White Rappers can actually say that they are Battle Rappers”, states Prophit who created history by retaliating with a reciprocal racial statement during the infamous Smack URL battle. “After winning that round, I decided to transition over to mainstream hip hop. I made my mark in that arena. I conquered it. I’ve moved on”.

Prophit, known for making that extra money, is now cashing in on his unique style of rap. “My style is unpredictable. I’m lyrical. I’m witty. I’m very well known for my word play. I don’t write to paper. I rhyme off the top of my head. My way of attacking a track is just different”, states Prophit. “Starting with the production of the music, I work hands on with the producer. I love pianos & violins. I like a producer that can play out the track. I don’t like looped beats. I love to have the track played out into a melody”. Working with the likes of Carl.S and B.Hard, Prophit is now working with Remo The Hitmaker. Listing his musical influences as Tupac; Biggie, Big Pun, Big L, and Jay-Z, like those established artists, Prophit also incorporates his personality into all of his music. In April of 2012, Prophit made his musical debut with the release of his first mix tape,I PROPHIT OFF OF PROPHIT. Hosted by DJ Messiah, this mix tape provided Prophit the opportunity to showcase his musical expertise after being known as a battler. Up & Comings such as Fashion of Cake Boyz, Lock, and Carl.S were also featured on his mix tape. Branding him as a credible Rap Artist, www.rapmusic.com co-signed his talent with a write up and review that marked his new territory. “Most Battlers can’t make good music, but I proved the naysayers wrong”, states Prophit.

Prophit’s sophomore mix tape is now dropping this Fall. Entitled, YOUNG DINERO his single, entitled, “Ric Flair” featuring Murda Mook, is currently spinning on several radio stations nationwide. “I selected Mook to be on this song with me because he comes from the world of battle rapping and he is a great representation of bars”. Hosted by New York City’s DJ Suss One, Prophit’s follow up single, “Money On My Head” featuring Mr. Lucky from Harlem should be hitting airwaves soon. I’m excited about this mixtape. This release shows my growth and how I’ve progressed. It shows the way I can incorporate the popularity of my wordplay onto modern music.

What’s next for Prophit? “Six months to a year from now, I see myself more established in the Music Industry. I know this grind is not an overnight process, but I’m definitely gonna put in the work to see where it takes me”.
