Flatbush Zombies – Palm Trees

I’m definitely a fan of the East Coast trio Flatbush Zombies, but I feel they’re capable of much more than what their two mixtapes achieve musically. Palm Trees is my favorite song off of their second mixtape Better Off Dead, which just dropped recently. This song has an instrumental that boasts an incredible angelic ambiance that few beats successfully embody. Lyrically Meechy Darko and Zombie Juice aren’t the best, but they certainly have their moments. Uniqueness in hip-hop goes a long way, and their best songs, like this one, prove they do in fact possess the skills to hold their own in this game.
